A Culinary Love Story in Analipsi – A Must-Visit! We discovered this gem in Analipsi thanks to glowing reviews on Tripadvisor and it completely exceeded our expectations. On our first visit, we tried the famous meatballs and the legendary slow-cooked lamb. Every bite was packed with authentic flavor and love. The meal ended with complimentary raki and dessert, a heartwarming Cretan tradition. It was truly a coup de foudre love at first bite! We were so enchanted that we came back, this time to try the fresh fish. The quality and freshness were unbelievable it tasted like it had just come off the boat. What makes this place extra special is the family behind it. The wife is the chef, working her magic in the kitchen with recipes that taste like they’ve been passed down for generations. The owner serves guests himself, along with their son and daughter, making you feel like you're dining in their home. And then there’s the special dessert made by the owner’s mother, featuring four different local cheeses. OMG. Creamy, rich, and unlike anything we’ve tasted before it’s the kind of dish you’ll dream about long after you leave. 💡 Tip: Be sure to book in advance during high season — this place fills up fast, and rightly so.

We had a wonderful lunch of the freshest,delicious food. The Chicken Souvalki was one large stick but came surrounded by baked potato, tzatziki, vegetable rice, grilled veg and a lovely green salad. It was the moistest chicken that melted in your mouth , generous portion to be shared between two. However we also had a greek salad and French fries. Both simple dishes, beautifully executed. Complimentary bread and oil to start and fresh fruit and raki to round off the meal. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the parrot was interesting.

We have struggled to find restaurants in Analipsi that we enjoy however ROUKOUNAS was absolutely delightful! The service was attentive, friendly and the food was served with a smile! A special thanks to Leo for looking after us! He was so lovely. The food was so yummy and was such a treat for lunch; very filling too!
